George Town to Little Farmers, [Sunday Feb 27]

I left George Town at 8:45 am, once out into the ocean I set both sails and shut down the engine. Averaging 5 – 6 knots under sail, at this speed Little Farmers will be 8 hours away. The seas were a bit higher then forecasted, but tolerable and should reduce as the day goes on. I let out the fishing line… some trolling, although I have no idea why… there has never ever been even a single bite on any previous attempt. I tried every lore in my Bud Bag, I got nothing, after 5 hours brought it all back in and put it away.

Other sailboats can catch fish, I have to take a critical look at our fishing equipment. This was caught off George Town today.

For 5-hours there was fantastic sailing, but the winds lightened gradually throughout the day, our speed finally dropped below 4 knots and it was time to fire up the engine, 2.5 hours later we pulled into Little Farmers. I arrived at an anchorage just north of Little Farmers Cay and anchored with 14 other sailboats for the night.

Secured the boat, turned on the anchor light, made dinner, and it was an early bunk night after a long day at the helm.

Breakfast – None, Lunch – Oatmeal-Raisin Cookies, Dinner – Taco meat, elbow macaroni, red sauce.
